Deadly Storms Hammer Mexico and Texas

Devastating storms that brought tornadoes and 11 inches of rainfall to the Great Plains, Midwest, and northern Mexico, continue to cause serious flooding in Texas and parts of Oklahoma. The governor of Texas has declared a state of emergency in 24 counties, as rescue and recovery teams work to find those still missing. As many as 18 people have reportedly been killed by the storms. Today the National Weather Service issued more flash-flood warnings in Houston, after hundreds of motorists were stranded on submerged highways on Monday.
