Andy Kowalski, of Antwerp, Belgium, writes: "As a skier, I have often been frustrated by the lack of an antonym for the word 'steep.' This seems such a basic word that it should certainly have an antonym. When it modifies a helpful noun (e.g., in 'a steep incline'), the opposite 'gentle' seems adequate. But this simply doesn't work for describing ski trails. Do you have any suggestions?"
