And by the way, did you know that there are more possible bracket combinations for the NCAA men’s and women’s basketball tournaments than there are grains of sand on Earth? The number of combos for one tourney is about 9.2 quintillion—nearly 2 quintillion more than the best estimate for sand.

Indeed, the NCAA reckons that if every person in the United States filled out a unique bracket every year (assuming that each person has average game-prediction skills), we would probably still be waiting deep into the 2300s for a perfect entry. And if Duke’s men are still winning then, I swear to God …
