What We're Following This Afternoon
Paris attacks aftermath: President Francois Hollande says he will travel next week to meet first with President Obama and then with Vladimir Putin, the Russian leader, to discuss a “large coalition” to fight the Islamic State. “We are at war,” Hollande said again today, hours after security forces raided an apartment in a northern suburb in search of the alleged mastermind of last Friday’s attack on Paris. Two people were killed and seven arrested in the operation.
Claims of responsibility from ISIS: The terrorist group, in the latest issue of its magazine, has posted a picture of what it says was the bomb used to bring down a Russian airliner in Egypt. The group also said it had executed a Norwegian and a Chinese captive. Neither claim has been independently confirmed.
