Guantanamo in the Rockies? The Pentagon is reportedly scouting locations in Colorado to hold prisoners from the naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Any move to transfer those 114 prisoners needs congressional approval. Update: More here

Twitter layoffs: CEO Jack Dorsey says 336 people will lose their jobs:

Planned Parenthood: The organization says it will no longer accept money for fetal donations for research. In a letter to Francis Collins, the head of the National Institutes of Health, Cecile Richards, Planned Parenthood’s president, writes: “Our decision is first and foremost about preserving the ability of our patients to donate tissue, and to expose our opponents’ false charges about this limited but important work.”

Mideast violence: Multiple attacks across Jerusalem and Israel killed three Israelis and wounded dozens of others. As Adam notes, this recent wave of violence speaks to the likelihood that a third Palestinian uprising may already be underway.
