(Cluytens, Berlin Philharmonic; Seraphim S-60079). A trace of sugar here and there, but nevertheless the best bargain Ninth yet offered. Fine sound and a remarkably good vocal quartet: Gre Brouwenstijn, Kerstin Meyer, Nicolai Gedda, and Frederick Guthrie.
