(D’Angelo, Monti, Capecchi, Bartoletti; Heliodor HS-25072/3). When this appeared originally on Deutsche Grammophon I thought it the liveliest of modern Barbers, and I find no reason to revise my opinion now that it’s out in a bargain reissue. A good way to celebrate the Rossini centenary.
