THIS is a good book. I began to read it last evening with the idea that I was in for a good time. I was right. When I put the book down I was sorry it was finished. Andrews, impetuous, valorous, and an adventurer in the best sense of the word, gay and making friends easily and abundantly, has in very truth sipped the port wine of exploration, even as I confess that I hold the old Peruna bottle in my hand. His adventures cover the whole world, but particularly, of course, tell of his epoch-making work in Mongolia. Equally interesting are the accounts of his experiences collecting the marvelous, unrivaled series of whales in the American Museum. He makes his journeys wonderfully vivid, and you must read this book to learn how many they have been and how extraordinarily worth while.
