'Young Boswell'
The processes by which words and phrases find their way into the language are often surprising. When Professor Tinker chose the title Young Boswell for the book he published last spring through this office, he could hardly have foreseen that the term would lend itself to journalism. Yet an enterprising interviewer connected with the New York Tribune heads a column — to quote a single caption, for the final name naturally changes from day to day — thus: —

However this may affect Professor Tinker, it is refreshing to think how James Boswell himself — prince and prototype of interviewers — would have rejoiced in it. His own shade might almost as well be granting a daily interview.
